AI consulting in Pittsburgh, from a firm that is actually here

Search for an AI consultant in Pittsburgh and most of what comes back is a company with a Pittsburgh page and an office somewhere else. We are in Wexford, twenty minutes north of the city, and the three decades of enterprise technology experience behind this firm were built largely in this region.

Why does local matter for an AI project?

Because the hard part of AI is never the model. It is the week you spend in a conference room working out how your team actually books an order, and the month after go-live when someone quietly stops using the thing. That work goes better when the person leading it can drive to you.

Terry Lyon founded Proxigee in Wexford after thirty years in enterprise software, much of it built right here. He was part of FreeMarkets when Pittsburgh was proving that a global procurement platform could be run from downtown. He was at SmartOps when a Carnegie Mellon spinout took inventory optimization to the largest manufacturers in the world. Pittsburgh has a habit of building serious enterprise technology without making noise about it. That is the tradition Proxigee comes from.

What kind of Pittsburgh companies do you work with?

Growth-minded small and midsize operators whose teams are buried in repeatable, high-volume work. Western Pennsylvania is thick with them: distributors, specialty manufacturers, energy services firms, multi-site retail and convenience operators, and the logistics companies that move for all of them.

The common thread is a business where skilled people spend their day on work that does not need a person. We integrate AI agents into the systems those teams already run, so the capability shows up inside the tools they know rather than as one more login to learn.

Proxigee Services is a member of the Pittsburgh Technology Council.

Anywhere in the metro, on site when it helps and remote when that is faster. Our office is in Wexford, north of the city. A good deal of the work runs the other direction, south through Washington County, where the energy and industrial cluster around Canonsburg and Southpointe sits.
